Seashell Crystals are not only just a unique craft to do with your kids, but can also be a super cool science experience that can be done right at home. My daughter loved watching the crystals grow. It can be done with just a few simple ingredients and should be properly supervised. I hope you enjoy and have fun with this one. Get your kids minds growing by having them watch their crystals grow overnight.

Materials Needed:
- Borax Powder
- 1 tbsp
- 1 cup
- Water
- Seashells
- 2 Mason Jars
- Spoon
Time needed: 1 hour.
Seashell Crystals
- Step One:
Bring 7 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling remove from the heat and stir in 28 tbsp of Borax Powder. The water will look cloudy, which is what you want.
- Step Two:
Put your seashells into the mason jars. Make sure that you place them in the bottom so they are not overlapping each other to much. You want to leave enough room for the crystals to grow on each seashell.
- Step Three:
Pour 3 1/2 cups of water in each of the mason jars with your seashells. Set them to the side and watch them grown. Allow them to site for a full 24 hours to allow the crystals to form.
Note: The reason you use mason jars is because you want a container that will not cool your water down to fast.
