
DIY Snow Globes
These DIY Snow Globes make great gift ideas for friends and family or can be fun for the kids to make at sleepovers or birthday parties.
The supplies you will need can be found anywhere from the dollar store to any craft store in your area. The materials are inexpensive to get and can be a fun cute idea for anyone of all ages.
Equipment You Will Need for the Snow Globes
- Hot glue gun
Materials You Will Need
- Any size clear containers with lids
- Water
- Vegetable glycerin
- Glitter
- A small figurine of your choice for inside your snow globe

Instructions
Step 1
- On the inside of your container lid apply a small amount of hot glue and apply your small figurine. You will want to make sure that you apply enough of the glue to keep the figurine in place.
- After you have applied all the figurines you wish to the inside of the lid, set the lid to the side to allow the hot glue to completely dry.*
- ** If you would like you can either paint or spray paint the lids before applying your figurine to give it a more elegant look
- .*** You can also apply ribbon around the outside of the lid when your snow globe is complete to give it a cute and fancy appearance.

Step 2
- Fill your clear container with the desired amount of glitter.
- Then fill the container with water. Keep in mind that your figurine will take up space in the jar so do not fill completely full of water will spill over with applying the lid.
- Once you have water in your container add about 5 drops of vegetable glycerin to your water. The glycerin will allow your glitter to float freely in the water.
Step 3
- On the rim of your container apply a small amount of hot glue, so that when you apply your lid it will form a secure seal.
- Once the hot glue is dry and figurine is completely secured onto the lid you will be ready to apply the lid onto the container.
- After your lid is secured you can flip over your container and watch as the glitter floats freely inside the globe.
